I would be hard-pressed to find a better host than Val. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a team to ensure everything was clean & working perfectly.
This historic, charming house is in a quiet, older neighborhood & has a nice fenced in back yard for your dogs. The sunroom was a great place to store our bikes when we weren’t riding.
We were in town for an interview with UAMS & this home is conveniently located to the campus, bike trails, amazing restaurants & one of the best dog parks we’ve been to.
Val is a super-host in the truest sense. He made sure the refrigerator was stocked with cokes, water, creamer, milk and orange juice. He left a great assortment of scones, muffins, waffle cakes and a beautiful orange mum. He also took such good care of our pups, with the freshest dog cookies they’ve ever had. As if this weren’t enough, Val also left a generous gift card to a cute, local bakery & treated us to an amazing restaurant for dinner. Wow!

We frequently stay in vintage homes. They aren’t usually perfect but this home has a bath that needs re-grouting, a backyard with no grass, and an iron that needs replacing. Entry into home did not match the instructions we were given but we figured it out.

We loved our stay at the Cheerful Cottage. The house is in a quiet, walkable neighborhood within walking distance to a large park. The house is very cozy. It is well maintained and stocked with everything we needed plus additional amenities (snacks, donuts, waters, soft drinks and puppy/cat snacks).
Val is a great host. He called to walk us through check-in, provided a couple of gift cards to a great little bakery just across the street.
We will definitely look to stay here on our next trip to Little Rock and would recommend to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay at 5105 B Street. The location was perfect, close to everything we needed, and was very quiet. Enjoyed sitting on the porch early mornings and evenings listing to the birds. Fantastic stay - restored my faith in Airbnb hosts! The house is in a great central location for Little Rock - easy to walk or drive to some great spots. It’s spacious (2 adults + dog) - coffee in the sunroom and having a fenced backyard for easy let outs were the highlights. Walk across the street to the bakery for some classic biscuits & gravy and then burn off the calories with a good stroll at War memorial park. Val as a host would get 6 stars - responsive, thoughtful, and generous. From hand delivering extra towels along with dog treats to some really nice gift cards to local fare - you’d be hard pressed to find a better host. We’ll definitely be back!

We were doing a cross-country journey to relocate with our cats and Val's place provided a welcoming, warm, safe, and quiet space to spend a night. The cats were calm in the house and we actually got a good night's sleep as well. The house is wellfurnished and very clean; beds were comfortable. This 2 bedroom cottage in is on a quiet street with quick, easy access to restaurants and shopping in Hillcrest and the Heights. UAMS and I-630 are minutes away. The home was very comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. The location was perfect - within walking distance to cute local restaurants. Val was very personable and responsive. Loved the gift certificate to a local coffee shop - it was definitely put to good use! Thank you!

We’ve absolutely loved staying here! The combination of the amenities and location along with excellent communication from the host makes this a very unique stay. Everything we needed was either a short drive or within walking distance. The host was excellent and very accommodating. As someone who has stayed in multiple BnBs, this is the one of the best I’ve stayed in. Highly recommend it to anyone who is traveling in the area!

Charming home in a great location, so close to the hospital, amazing shops, and restaurants. All within walking distance. Val went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Right next to the zoo, so perfect for a family getaway as well.
